Characteristics of high-power galvanometer welding system

Characteristics of high-power galvanometer welding system

1. Uses high-precision, high-speed all-digital galvanometer scanners, with welding speeds up to 3000mm/s;

2. Adopts a closed-loop control system to continuously monitor the galvanometer position status;

3. Utilizes a high-level system safety mechanism, capable of shutting off the laser within 10ms;

4. Independently designed upper computer software with a simple interface and easy operation; integrates energy waveform, oscillation function, welding parameters, alarm prompts, and logs, while also featuring debugging mode and automatic welding mode;

5. Equipped with multiple oscillation functions: wave trajectory, spiral trajectory, figure-eight trajectory, infinity trajectory, and circular;

6. Features both water-cooled and air-cooled dual systems.

The advantages of spiral welding as reflected in practical applications

High Efficiency Production: In the welding of battery module flexible connectors, a 6000W laser with a welding speed of 3000mm/s can complete over 2000 weld points per hour at a single station. With multi-focus field lenses adapting to workpieces of different sizes, it helps increase production line efficiency by more than 30%. The long seam welding speed for car bodies is 2-3 times faster than traditional equipment, meeting the fast-paced demands of OEMs.

Precise Quality Control: When welding thin-walled battery components, the ±0.01mm level positioning accuracy combined with spiral and other oscillating trajectories can reduce the defect welding rate to below 0.1%. During curved surface welding of car bodies, real-time monitoring corrects errors, reducing deformation by 50% and removing the need for subsequent reshaping costs.

Stable Operation: The dual cooling system ensures the equipment can run for over 8000 hours on average without failure on a 24-hour power battery production line. The 10ms fast shut-off function responds promptly to anomalies, together with safety protections, eliminating the risk of laser leakage.

Flexible Adaptation: When paired with a robotic arm, it can weld large car body parts measuring 1-2 meters. The upper-level software allows parameter switching between different battery modules in just 10 minutes. It supports multiple materials such as carbon steel and aluminum alloys, achieving "one machine for multiple uses," and reduces equipment investment costs by 30%.

Laser spiral welding applications

Medium- and high-power scanning galvanometer welding systems are usually equipped with a 150mm focal length collimator and a 460mm focal length field lens, with a maximum welding area of 220mm × 220mm. When mounted on a robot, medium- and high-power scanning galvanometers can flexibly weld battery modules and car bodies of various sizes, with a welding range of 1-2 meters.
